First, we select a pot in which we will create a vertical flower bed. Next, we make a cylinder from a wire fence with wide holes. When working with metal wire, use special protective gloves to avoid injuring your hands. The wire cylinder should be smaller than the volume of the pot.
We fasten the edges of the cylinder with plastic ties in the form of ties. Trim the long ends of the ties so that they do not stick out. Before securing the edges of the cylinder, make sure that the metal tower is 1.5 times longer than the pot. If the structure is twice as large, then in a strong wind it may collapse.
We insert the finished metal structure into an empty flower pot. We line the inside of the cylinder with polyethylene cloth. The size of the fabric depends on the size of the cylinder. The fabric must be secured to the structure so that the soil does not spill out in the future.
We attach polyethylene fabric to the top of the tower, which must be folded over the edges of the metal cylinder and secured with plastic ties to the cylinder itself. We trim the long ends of the ties.
Next, fill the finished tower up to one third with soil. Then add a little water so that the soil settles. Then we add more soil to two-thirds of the cylinder and again water it a little. Next, fill the soil to the top and water again. After this, we press the soil down a little so that there are no empty spaces inside the tower.
Using a garden shovel, fill the future flower tower with soil around the cylinder. Press the soil down a little and add a little more soil to the pot.
Using a flower knife, make vertical and horizontal cuts throughout the entire level of the tower in a chaotic manner. It is in these holes that we will plant flowers.
Now let’s start planting flowers. Use your finger to create a void in the opening of the tower and carefully insert a plant or seedling into it. As soon as the plant fits snugly into the hole, cover it slightly with the side fabric. This will help keep the soil in the tower while watering.
