Orchid plant care: Make the orchid to bloom all year round

The orchid blooms from 2 to 6 months during a year. To have an orchid that is constantly blooming, you must follow these steps:
Before you buy it, you need to find the age of the orchid
Orchids bloom when it is 1.5 to 3 years old. An adult plant, that is ready to bloom, should have 5 to 8 growths. If the young plant has bloomed, it is not good because the young plant doesn’t have enough strength to heal from flowering and can die.
Temperature
To make the ideal environment for the orchid to bloom, the night temperature should be 4 to 6 degrees lower than the temperature during the day. During the summer it is advisable to keep the plant outdoor, while during the winter, keep the orchid in a ventilated room. Beware – orchids don’t tolerate drafts!
Watering the orchid properly
Before and during flowering, the orchid should be watered intensively. During the dormant period, water the orchid every 12 days. If the leaves are pale, let it rest for a while. When you water it, soak it in water and leave it for an hour or two. Drain the excess water well and return the plant to its place.
Don’t move it from its place.
It is very stressful for the orchid when is moved from one to another place. This plant doesn’t like even small movements and responds relative to the light. If you have moved it for watering, you must immediately return it to the same place. Moving will negatively affect flowering.
Pay attention to the roots
Orchid roots also need light. For planting instead of ceramic pots, it is very important to use plastic pots, which will allow the root to participate in the process of photosynthesis.
Pay attention to the light
For this plant, sunlight is a very important factor that affects flowering. Orchids need daylight 10 to 12 hours of a day, otherwise, it will not bloom. In autumn and winter when the natural light is lower, you need to illuminate the plant with a lamp.
Humidity
Humidity is another important condition that affects orchid blooming. The orchid needs up to 60% air humidity. To increase the humidity put the bowl with water next to the plant. During the winter, when the heating is on, spray the plant with water.
Choose the right fertilizer
Orchid loves calcium and phosphorus because it encourages flowering. Nitrogen-based fertilizer can destroy the plant.
The orchid must be scared
You must do this if the orchid has all the conditions and not flowering. This is because to the orchid is too good. To bloom your orchid, it needs a little stress! To shock, the plant: reduce the watering or move the plant to a cooler place.

When the orchid stops flowering, you must cultivate it just like in the flowering stage. It is transplanted after 2 to 3 years and when the roots start to come out of the flowerpot. Also, the orchid doesn’t like a comfortable pot, so be careful when transplanting it to take a smaller flowerpot that will keep the roots close together.
