Dahlias are a beautiful bulbous perennial from the Asteraceae family. The origin of this plant is from Mexico, Central America and Colombia. There are at least 36 species and many varieties of them. They are very sensitive to low temperatures and bloom during the summer until the first frosts. Dahlias adore the sun, watering them is only necessary in case of drought.
