Cheap and beautiful garden landscaping ideas with gabion planters

Gabions are baskets with a wire mesh compactly filled with stones that are used as modern wall systems, planters and much more. In landscaping, gabion walls can support the earth wall, stabilize the soil, prevent erosion, and more.

    The benefits of gabions
Aesthetics: Gabions look natural and can tie the house to the landscape using materials excavated on the ground of the building.

Environmental compliance: When using materials from the construction site itself, transportation costs and associated fuel consumption costs are eliminated.

Sustainability: Used as a cooling system in hot climates; gabion fences provide passive cooling and allow air movement by providing ventilation.

Permeability: Gabions are permeable and cannot be damaged by water movement.

Easy installation and built-in strength: The stone filling lies on the ground below it and has such strength that no foundations are required. The strength and efficiency of the fence can also increase over time, as silt and vegetation fill in the gaps and strengthen the structure. Another advantage over stiffer structures is that gabions are not negatively affected by soil movement.

Durability: Stones are the most typical filling used for durability, longevity and stability. Often the filling is chosen for its aesthetic attributes or from a material that can be used from a construction site.
